2. Collection and Processing of Personal Data
We collect and process personal data that arise when you download, register for, or use the GolfForeCast™ app.
This includes in particular:
- Name
- Phone number (for contact)
- Email address (optional)
- Game start time
These data are processed only insofar as this is necessary to provide the app’s functions. Personal data will only be transmitted to the administrator while the user is logged in to the APP as an active player on the golf course. If the user does not log out of the game, all data will be deleted or the system will be reset at midnight of the same day.
3. Purpose of Processing
Your personal data are processed for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate the app’s features (e.g., lightning alerts, Play suspension and Cancelation)
- To make users aware of possible dangers associated with severe weather
- to contact (by phone) players who do not respond to the app's warnings
The legal basis for data processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in maintaining a safe and functional app).
4. Disclosure of Data
Personal data are generally not shared with third parties.
All service providers process data strictly on behalf of and under the instructions of Ltech GmbH.
5. Storage and Deletion
Personal data will only be transmitted to the administrator while the user is logged in to the APP as an active player on the golf course. If the user does not log out of the game, all data will be deleted or the system will be reset at midnight of the same day.
6. Updates to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements or app functionality.
The latest version will always be available in the app and on our website.
